My story

For as long as I can remember, the theatre has been my happy place. It started when I was a small child. My mother used to take me to children’s theatre and musical recitals all over town. Entertainment has always been such an important part of my life. As I grew up, my appreciation and respect for all entertainment forms just grew and grew, so much so that when it was time to choose the next step after high school I enrolled in film school. TV and Movies seemed to fit well with my complete love of entertainment.

At film school, we learned all the ins and outs of movie making. After studying all different aspects of the film industry like editing, music production, animation and production design, I found my happy place in both makeup artistry and producing. Two completely polar opposites, however, both equally fascinating to me. There is something so magical about creating characters through makeup and seeing your work translate on screen or in print but there is also magic in the organized chaos that leads the creating process.

After having studied the details that go into creating art, I decided it was time to pick up an old hobby and start writing again.  Now that I knew how entertainment forms were created, I thought the right fit would be to write about. This is how Classically Fresh was born. My thoughts looking from the inside out about movies, theatre, TV, books and other forms of entertainment. I also use this space to showcase the makeup I do and the SFX work I have done.

I would love to hear your thoughts! And if you have a brand, production or topic you would like me to review, feel free to send me a message or email me at nataliablumenthal1@gmail.com!

Happy reading xxx
